GTA: Vice City Anniversary Edition Landing on Mobile Soon

Tommy Vercetti first hit the neon-soaked streets of Vice City way back on October 29 of 2002. On Monday, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will officially turn 10 years old, and Rockstar plans to commemorate this event with a variety of promotional items as well as an anniversary edition of the game for select iOs and Android deices.

The mobile version of the game will be bring players back to the same old Vice City they know and love, but with some subtle yet vital improvements. The controls will be completely tailored for a touch screen and the graphics will be natively high-resolution. Only select devices will be able to handle Vice City, and Rockstar promises they will release a list of compatible devices in the coming weeks.

Rockstar will release a series of commemorative assets for the game including never before seen artwork and a brand spankin’ new anniversary trailer showcasing some the most iconic scenes and music from the game. There will also be collectable promotional items on Rockstar Warehouse as well as some online giveaways.

GTA fans will have to be patient as there has been no official release date or pricing information set for the mobile Vice City. However, Rockstar claims it will launch this fall. Some more details about they commemorative and promotional offerings are likely to surface soon.

As Rockstar says, “This upcoming version will bring the full experience to mobile devices,” so iOS and Android gamers may be in for a real treat.
