Fresh New Footage of Halo 4 Campaign Gameplay

Microsoft released a new trailer today showcasing some of the beginning of Halo 4′s campaign, as our favorite Spartan is forced to awaken from his cryogenic slumber.

The campaign seems to have a slightly darker, more gritty feel as Master Chief fights his way through Dawn and Forerunner. Old and new foes alike get decimated as Chief blasts them away with classic weapons as well as some new ones. Halo 4 may be updated and visually distinct from other installments in the franchise, but it will undoubtedly retain the gameplay elements from Combat Evolved that made us all fall in love.
