More XCOM: Enemy Unknown Multiplayer Details Surface

+

More details have surfaced concerning XCOM: Enemy Unknown multiplayer today at Gamescom.

VG 24/7 was able to grab ahold of Firaxis lead designer Jake Solomon to shed some light on the multiplayer showcase that his company was presenting at the convention. The general multiplayer details were outlined already, but Solomon covered some of the finer points today.

Players will have 10,000 points at the start of each match to build a team with any weapon, character, or item in the game. The better the character or gear, the more it costs. The main multiplayer objective is the eliminate all of the opposing team in a 1v1 fashion. The game may only involve two players, but each side will have multiple characters.

Check out the full discussion and some of Solomon’s thoughts on the competitive side of his game below.
