Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed that he is currently working with Bungie studios helping to write music for the upcoming Project Desinty.
“I’m really excited to be working on writing music with @bungie, the studio that made Halo,” McCartney tweeted. He also included a picture of himself and veteran Bungie Composer Marty Mcdonald hard at work in the tweet.
Earlier this year, McCartney told German newspaper Die Zeit he was working on music for a video game and that he found the game market fascinating. He also said that he felt as if this was the most effective route to get his music to the next generation.
It was not until the nature of Bungie and Activison’s contract was revealed during the West/Zampella court case earlier this year that there was any idea of exactly what game McCartney was working on.
Bungie’s sci-fi fantasy shooter series Project Destiny is anticipated for launch in the fall of 2013. Destiny will be published by Activison and is scheduled for four installments.
