Dungeons of Dredmor: Conquest of the Wizardlands Gets Release Date

The new Dungeons of Dredmor expansion “Conquest of the Wizardlands” is set to hit the virtual store of Steam on the 1st of August.

We’ve been given some scraps of info for the game, including new classes (Bankster, Communist, Paranormal Investigator) as well as the new world “The Pocket Dimension”. Think Dungeons of Dredmor crossed with an episode of Hoarders, and you’ve got the Pocket Dimension – stuff that you might need spread across an entire dungeon floor with no monsters.

Recently we’ve been given a closer look at the Bankster class. The Bankster is similar to a magic class, but uses your money (Zorkmids) in place of mana. When the player uses an ability, there is a chance it will get either “Cooked Books” “Frozen Account” or “Bad Credit” debuffs. But worry not, as any real banker, you will be about to dump your problems onto a hapless enemy, along with a cloud of… toxic gas? Well this is Dredmor.

I’m excited for this and if I could preorder for preorder goodies, I would, but for now, I’ll just have to satisfy myself for keeping a close eye on their site, drooling over screenshots, and waiting for Dungeons of Dredmor 3D (yes, it’s a thing).
