Feel like five games isn’t enough Resistance for you? You might have to deal with it, since UK Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Online producer Daniel Brooke told Official PlayStation Magazine that, “The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on but as for the future we have no definitive plans.” This is following the January statement to VG247 made by Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price that, “We won’t be making any more Resistances.”
This isn’t an outright end to the franchise, at least not officially yet. Sony might not have “definitive” plans, but Resistance 3 did well enough that they might try to milk more from the franchise, if only in the form of spin offs (like Resistance: Burning Skies for the Vita, which came out on May 29th). Resistance 3 was released on September 6th for the Playstation 3.
