Resident Evil 6 Leon Gameplay Trailer Released

A new, two-video Resident Evil 6 gameplay trailer, showcasing some of Leon Kennedy’s campaign, was released today.

In the video, Leon is trapped in a zombie infested Tall Oaks during an evening banquet for the President. Things get intense for Leon towards the end, as he roundhouse kicks his way to freedom.

Capcom really wants to emphasize how different each unique campaign experience will be. Leon’s is just one of three, with its own distinctive tone and gameplay. The other two campaigns feature Chris Redfield and Jake Mueller.

Leon’s campaign differs greatly from the Jake campaign Capcom showcased at E3 2012. The experience for Leon seems to be much more atmospheric and creepy with tense situations and slower paced gameplay, reminiscent of Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil 6 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has said that each of the three stories equate to “probably 70%-80% of the volume of the whole game in Resident Evil 5.”
