If you were a fan of Limbo, 2010′s hit 2D platformer by Playdead, then you’ve probably been waiting anxiously for news of a sequel. In that case, a recent Danish listing will catch your eye. Entitled “Project 2″, the game will have a much larger budget as Playdead received £1,000,000 from the Danish government to work on the game. Although sparse, we do have a a few details regarding the game’s story.
As roughly translated from the above site, the game will follow “a boy’s struggle against evil forces trying to take over the world through questionable experiments on human bodies.”
The game is going to be a traditional 2D platformer although the overall world will be 3D and will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac sometime in 2014.
