Paramount’s Movie Streaming App for Xbox 360 Debuts Today

Paramount Pictures is joining the ranks of the Xbox 360’s ever expanding list of video content providers today with its own dedicated video streaming app. Like most of the other premium services like Crackle, HBO Go, and Netflix, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold member ship to access the Paramount app.

Unlike the other video services available on Xbox 360, however, the Paramount app’s actual implementation is…cumbersome. Rather than being able to select content and stream it right from your Xbox, you must first go to Paramount’s website and buy or rent the movie there before you can watch it on your console. Sort of defeats the purpose, don’t you think?
