In a shock to no one, Sony showcased God of War: Ascension at E3 and it certainly looks at be just as God of War-y as every other entry in the series.
Ascension looks to add a few new locales and a few new enemies, including loud-mouth, bipedal elephants with clubs. One could argue that the creative well has been tapped dry for the series that has primarily borrowed from Greek mythology, but at the same time this could mean that Ascension will incorporate other culture’s mythology (i.e. Egyptian) into this entry.
With cinematic sequences, gruesome deaths, gallons of blood and epic boss fights it looks to boil down to the following: If you liked the previous God of War games, this should have you salivating with anticipation; if you don’t, then this probably won’t interest you.
