We know that Dead Space 3 is in development and slated to be released sometime next year. However, we haven’t seen anything specific about the project, aside from some rather disturbing rumors. This video seems to be our first glimpse into the game, you know, unless EA is planning some other sort of Dead Space-related announcement so close to E3.
Interestingly enough, our hero Isaac Clarke is nowhere to be found in the video. The star of this show is Sergeant John Carver who, while arguing with his wife, witnesses some sort of attack on the site of yet another of the series’ mind controlling Marker structures.
Naturally, with an exposed Marker comes Necromorphs, right? So we see Carver suit up and separate a few slashers from their limbs in the video’s pretty graphic novel-esque art style, but we’re left to wonder why and how someone would attack a civilian residential area to get to a Marker. I suppose that’s why it’s a teaser.
