Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has announced Harry Potter for Kinect, which will be a new game designed exclusively around the Kinect’s motion and voice control capabilities.
This game will allow players to relive some of the most memorable moments from the Harry Potter movies. Based on all eight films, the game includes a comprehensive story line, co-op gameplay, and a variety of competitive minigames.
For the first time ever, Harry Potter fans will be able to scan their face and use it to create a unique with or wizard. The Kinect will also allow players to cast spells using both physical maneuvers and by calling out spell names, offering a truly immersive Harry Potter experience.
This game will likely be a major talking point for Microsoft at this year’s upcoming E3 convention. It may even provide them with an opportunity to show the Kinect is still relevant. After its scheduled release this fall, we’ll be able to see if everything really is better with Kinect.
