With E3 2012 less than a month away, developers and publishers have been confirming which games they’ll be previewing at the event. Square Enix has finally confirmed which upcoming titles they’ll be showing off, and one big name is conspicuously absent: Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Yep, that’s right. The game that Final Fantasy fans have been waiting for for some six years now still isn’t ready to be shown off. On the bright side, those of you at E3 will have a chance to check out Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, and Theatrythm.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was first announced back at E3 2006. It wouldn’t be until September 2011 that the game would enter into “full development” and since then Square Enix has told us relatively little about the title, aside from a few teases.
At this rate, it looks like we might see Half-Life 3 before Versus XIII even gets a playable demo.
