Valve have revealed a new beta patch for Steam that will allow you to manage and install games on your PC or Mac remotely from any web browser or mobile device. Now you’ll have no excuse to avoid those tantalizing Steam sales, even when you’re supposed to be concentrating on less important things, like work, school or social events!
Carry on after the break if you’re unsure on how to access the beta.
As explained on the Steam forums, if you’d like to participate in the beta you can do so by launching Steam and then opening File/Settings (or Steam/Preferences). On the Account tab press the Change… button and open the Beta Participation dialog. Then Select “Steam Beta Update”, and allow Steam to restart itself.
Then once you’ve re-launched Steam, you’ll need to follow these instructions found on the Steam support page to begin managing your games library remotely:
Now you’re all set to start installing games on-the-go until you inevitably run out money and curse the day that Steam became so accessible.
We don’t know when these changes will be implemented into the live version of Steam, but if the beta doesn’t encounter too many problems then it’s probably not too far away.

Wowzerz what handy screenshots. Thanks Chris
No problem Chris!
