How long has it been since you donned the cowl and chucked a batarang at a thug’s face? Well, if you’ve never had the pleasure, you’ll have another chance on May 29, when the Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham City comes out. Included in this package are the previously released sidekick packs, a new Harley Quinn DLC, and a full copy of the Batman: Year One animated film.
While the Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman packs simply added these characters for play in a few new challenge arenas, Polygon reports that leaked achievement trophies point towards some story-based content for the Harley Quinn pack. As for what that actually means, we don’t know. But if you already purchased Arkham City, the DLC will be available in a standalone capacity on April 30.
See a extremely brief preview of it in the video after the break.
For those of you that steer away from comic book shops, Year One is the animated adaptation of a critically adored Batman comic of the same name. The story covers the early days of Batman’s vigilante career and highlights his supporting characters, mainly Jim Gordon and Selina Kyle. The response to the film has been mixed with critics, but you are getting it essentially for free, so that’s a bonus you can weigh yourself.
Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition will be available on May 29 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
