Can you believe that Kirby is turning 20 this coming Friday? To celebrate, Nintendo will be giving everyone’s favorite spherical pink fluff ball a 20th anniversary collection for the Wii.
Though they have yet to confirm a date for the collection’s release, we do know that the featured games will be previously released fan-favorites. Nintendo has also promised that “additional Kirby anniversary activities” will be announced at a later date.
Kirby made his first appearance back on April 27, 1992 in Kirby’s Dreamland for the original Game Boy. Since then, Kirby has gone on countless adventures, appearing in over 16 games across some eight different systems. Most recently Kirby made his return to Dreamland on the Wii in October 2011. (Which, by the way, if you haven’t played Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, I’d strongly advise you to GET ON IT. Like, now.)
