Things just keep getting worse and worse for Sony’s PS Vita. Japanese sales have hit a new record low, with the system moving just 8,250 units this past week.
It seems like the Vita sets a new record low each time sales figures are released. Just last week the system was setting records with a dismal 8,931 units sold. On the bright side, at least the Vita was able to beat the Wii on the charts this week, though once again it fell almost laughably short of its predecessor the PSP.
Despite being an ardent Vita supporter, I can’t say that these dismal sales figures are surprising. Hopefully in the future Sony will avoid going a month and change with only one or two decent releases. The Vita’s life depends on it.
