Word on the Street: Speculation of Bethesda’s Impending Announcement
Earlier today Bethesday posted the image you see above on their Facebook page with the caption “tomorrow.” With the number of worlds Bethesda has crafted, there’s no telling what this image is teasing. While we don’t have any inside information we thought we would turn to the community to see what they’re hopelessly pining for.
Within an hour of the post being on Facebook, it racked up hundreds of comments with fan speculation ranging from Skyrim DLC to a Fallout 4 announcement. An astute Facebook commentator, John Craig, thinks that the character in the foreground is wearing a collar leading him to believe this is an image set in the Fallout universe.
Joey Young uses his extensive study of Skyrim lore to conclude that, “Collar, gloves, pointy ears = Thalmor. Dirty, buff, beaten dude = Nord.”
Matt Gresham takes the Occam’s razor approach and says, “It’s their new game called ‘Tomorrow.’”
Richard Tricky Bollen brings something called “logic” to the table and says,”Thinking logically, Pete Hines tweeted that April has some skyrim and rage news coming down the road. Judging by the art syle of Rage, which is very simular to Simon Bisley artwork, this shot does not fit. The only conclusion is a CGI promotional Skyrim trailer. Sorry Fallout fans, wait until E3.”
Other speculation is that this image if for Bethesda’s Dishonored. We only have to wait less than 24 hours until the reveal where we’ll be covering it right here on Piki Geek.
