Fresh from Capcom’s Captivate event, a new Resident Evil 6 trailer has been revealed, and it contains some interesting bits of info. The most important thing revealed in the trailer is the game’s new release date – moved up from November 20th to October 2nd. So much for everything “getting the hell out of the way” of Resident Evil 6 this holiday, huh?
The second most important thing revealed in the new trailer? The previously unnamed third protagonist now has a name – Albert Wesker Jr., I mean, Jake Muller. Yes, that’s right – Muller is Wesker’s son, which would explain why he states that everyone is after his blood in the game’s debut trailer.
As it usually goes with Resident Evil games, this latest trailer shows that the game’s story will be just as over the top and corny as ever, but hey, that’s part of the charm here, right? Head past the break to check out the new trailer.

As cool as the narration is, It’s almost a certainty that the game won’t give the narrative hook justice, seeing as how it’s supposed to be a survival horror game and all…
We’ll see though, I just hope they keep the kind of RPG elements of the series intact
