It looks like Epic Games is returning to its PC gaming roots. Company president Mike Capps confirmed today following a PAX East panel that Epic Games is currently working on a new PC exclusive title.
Not that Capps was immediately forthcoming about the still unannounced title, originally stating that Epic “Might be working on a PC-only title” during his time on stage. For his part, Gears of War man Cliff Bleszinski all but confirmed the project, finishing Capps’ sentence for him by stating “Let me say that again: We are working on a PC game.” Capps would add after the panel that the company has plans to keep the game as a PC exclusive.
It has been a while since we’ve seen a PC exclusive from Epic. The last time the company developed a game exclusively for the PC was back in 1999 when they released Unreal: Return to Na Pali, an expansion pack for the first Unreal shooter.

What’s wrong, Epic? The console market wasn’t the vast field of gold you thought it was?
