Bayonetta To Be Playable Character In Anarchy Reigns

Anarchy Reigns, the upcoming online brawler from Platinum Games, is getting a stylish addition to its already eclectic roster of fighters. That’s right – everyone’s favorite hair-wearing witch, Bayonetta, is going to be a playable character according to Famitsu magazine. While the news is most welcome, it’s not exactly shocking. Anarchy Reigns already stars Jack Cayman, who some will recognize as the chainsaw-wielding star of Madworld, another title made by Platinum Games.

While many Bayonetta fans, myself included, would have preferred to see a true sequel, her addition to the Anarchy Reigns character roster is both fitting and welcome. Bayonetta’s speed, style, and over the top list of moves and abilities makes her the perfect addition. Now all they need is Vanquish’s Sam Gideon to complete the Platinum cameo trifecta.

If you’re unfamiliar with Anarchy Reigns, the game is primarily an online multiplayer brawler, though it also includes a fleshed-out single player campaign. It’s got a deep, nuanced fighting system that rivals the complexity of a more traditional fighting game, and a varied selection of fighters to choose from.
