5TH Cell’s Hybrid Beta Test Sign-Ups Now Open

5TH Cell is now accepting applications for the closed beta for their upcoming XBLA game, Hybrid, at their website. The sign-ups at time of writing seems to be undergoing intermittent problems with e-mail verification according to a few tweets to @5THCell, but don’t seem to effect everyone.

Beta keys will be distributed closer to the actual Beta test in late April. Keys will be distributed in multiple rounds with increasing numbers of playtesters. 5TH Cell only determines whether potential testers are game developers or members of the press during sign-ups, so prior experience and other pieces of demographic information are not factors in determining one’s odds of getting a key.

Players can receive an exclusive golden helmet for recruiting friends to the Beta as well.

Given that nothing goes seriously wrong during testing, 5TH Cell says Hybrid will be available this summer.
