The world’s latest battle over verbal territory, the suit of Mojang by Bethesda over use of the word scrolls, has finally reached its end. Who came out on top as king of Scroll Mountain? Well, that’s a little fuzzy.
Apparently, Bethesda gets the trademark for the word scrolls, and Mojang can keep the name of their game, but they can’t make a competitor to The Elder Scrolls with it. There goes any hope for Scrolls 2: Dragon Puncher. The world is a darker place.
Of course, now that all this lawyer business is over, maybe Mojang will have the money to make dreams come true.
