Would you kindly get excited for a moment? After years in development, Irrational Games has announced that BioShock Infinite will be released on October 16th.
Although it’s part of the BioShock series, Infinite is neither a prequel nor sequel to the previous entries, although it will feature similar gameplay mechanics. What has me most excited though is the 1999 Mode, as I miss the rage inducing difficulty settings of old.
Creative Director Ken Levine left a brief note to go along with the release date. “After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition. BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”
BioShock Infinite will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 16th, 2012.
