Like you guys said, finding that cow level. even to this day “moo” is an inside joke between me and my friends.
For me, it getting to revisit Tristram in Diablo 2. That was an incredibly fun and rewarding moment.
Tristram was great too! After so much D1, seeing the town again was great.

Oddly enough, my most memorable experience from all of Diablo was speaking with the wounded townsman at the start of The Butcher quest in Diablo 1 and saying “your death will be avenged”. My friends and I still quote that line to this day. Obviously there are hundreds of other memories, but that one sticks out the most.

My favorite diablo memory was in D2 when SOJ’s were the currency used to trade items with … Also starting new characters and rushing/leveling to lvl 70 in about 2 hours from cow runs and ancients, nm ancients used to give 7 lvl-ups! Lol

Favorite D2 moment was probably stacking up magic find gear on my Sorc and actually getting a Buriza to drop off of Meph in Act 3. My amazon ussed that thing till my hand cramped around the mouse. *grin*
My favorite diablo moment was one particular LAN session. We decided to get all of my friends together to play together through the entire game on Saturday and Sunday. We planned it I weeks in advance.
It was one of the best video game experiences of my life. We started around 1pm–on a saturday–played all afternoon and night, and continued when we all woke up the following morning. The battle against diablo remains to be one of the most memorable boss fights I’ve experienced with my friends.
We had great chicago pizza, all of our favorite sodas–and we specially ordered one of a kind, specialty soda from a soda shop in PA (I believe). It was a great weekend.

I did that too, Cory. When the expansion for D2 came out I set up a LAN at a friend’s house and we played the entire game over a 3 day weekend. It was glorious, even if we were fairly fried by the end of it all on Monday.

Finding Wirt’s leg for the first time…..don’t know why, but I found i to be completely hilarious at the time.
Playing the game in college until the sun came up with 2 friends as a Harry Potter – themed group – Hermione the Amazon, Harry Potter the Druid caster, and Ron the Bear Druid.
The first one was the classic “Ah, fresh meat” from the Butcher in Diablo 1 and another was getting to hell difficulty in Diablo 2 and getting slaughtered. But what will stay with me the most from the entire series is the Tristram music theme.
To be honest my favorite part I cannot remember, I was high as fuck beating the shit out of demons, trying to stay alive when I could barely see a thing, it was amazing.
Diablo 2 was the greatest game ever made. I think I’ve been a beta tester for every blizzard game since then, with this game being the only exception. Hope I get another shot!
Honestly, one of my favorite / frightening moments was meeting Gharbad the Weak. If I remember correctly, after helping him make his weapon, he says it’s too powerful for you and then proceeds to try and kill you. Everything about that game freaked me out when I was younger, still kinda does haha.
THE HORADRIC CUBE!!!
The most memorable moment in every Diablo game for me will be running the game for the first time. The joy and excitement in that moment is like from another planet. Sadly, got no luck in every Blizzard beta ever. Hopefully this could change.

Killing civilians in Diablo 1. I didn’t think you could do it and it freaked me out as a kid

I remember in my fledgling days, I was playing a public game with a few of my friends. A level 80 Barbarian decided to come in and start griefing us level 12-18′s. My friend was a Thornadin and I was an Iron Maiden Necro. We decided to pvp him and needless to say, one whirlwind after being cursed… he was dead. So was I, but it was still glorious returning an ungodly amount of damage back on him. He didn’t grief after that point. Glorious.
All it takes is one little contest and everyone starts popping out of the woodwork. haha.
My favorite Diablo moment would not be one, but the many late night gaming sessions me and my friends would have. At the time we were all about 11 years old and we would play and play and play until our parents would kick us off to go to bed. We could never get enough of that game.

My absolute favorite Diablo moment, was the very first encounter with The Butcher in D1 ! FRESH MEAT !!! man, i literally jumped on my seat and got my *ss kicked big time.
my favorite moment of D2 was entering the cow level. it was hilarious killing all the cows and hearing them moo constantly. tristram was fun too – clicking on wirt and looting his body was pretty strange. i also loved playing with my friends
d2 was the first rated M game i ever got, and the only reason i got it was because my parents didn’t know it was rated M. once they found out they didn’t really care anyway though.
I guess it would have to be buying D2 for the sixth time… haha
tbh the most exciting moment in diablo 2 was when i first saw a sorc in an open b.net game casting frozen orb and destroying all the mobs in act 4. Never saw that spell before… i was sooo amazed…
My favorite moment of diablo happens to be when you finally have all the pieces to the horadric staff and you use the staff. Awesome hole blows open in the wall leading to god knows what. You enter and Duriel bum rushes you. I remember the first time me and my friend did this we ran around Duriel’s lair screaming like girls.
Yeah! That’s totally awesome, just like in Indiana Jones.
The most exciting moment was my first baal run, i was having so much fun with a few friends online, and it still excites me to this day
The best moment:
When i was a Druid, and i got the Horadrim Stick, i morved into the Werwolf, it was so awesome. I skilled Feral Rage, Werewolf and Lycanthropy at first. The Horadrim Stick increased my attackspeed. All my attacks where sooooo fast. It was godlike! xD

Well I was running away from a Blood Raven (I sucked) but all of a sudden…HUNGRY DEAD EVERYWHERE! i tried to fight them off and i mostly did, I failed when I got pinned by a wall so i did what i could….SMASH ALL THE BUTTONS! the game felt that was too much and all of a sudden, I was at the start menu. I got back on and every enemy was gone and I was 2 levels higher, that was strange occurence.
-new to the series, beat Diablo and Diablo 2 last year and im looking forward to this one!

The first time I ever went on a Baal run on hell mode. Dear lord, I wasn’t prepared.
Beating Duriel during my first play through – such a rush. Also, the intro FMV to LOD where Baal blows up the king was just so amazing.
Aw yeah Diablo’s the game that got me into gaming.
Played the crap out of Diablo 1 and 2, even ran a custom server for D2. Love this game and everything about it.
I just started playing D2, my friend gave me all his “junk” items I could use. I felt like a god for a good hour
Finding out about magic find runs was the greatest thing. I loved strategizing with friends and all that. I love Diablo. And I really want to get my hands on a beta key!
That moment when 3 friends and I enter the Worldstone Keep, fully geared after many hours of fighting, to fight Baal himself. (Over LAN, so we’re all in the room shouting things like “Use your shout, we need Battle Orders up! Where’s that thorns aura? Necro, have your golem tank!”) Greatest times!

The best moment is definitely when I painstakingly lvled up my barb to 30 and get the whirlwind! Whirlwinding through waves and waves of monsters is AWESOME!
My favorite moment was somewhere between discovering the awesomeness of porting around farming mephisto and Baal with my sorc and playing the cow level for the first time with my Amazon and using split arrow to tear the cows.
Also I have many plesent memories from Diablo 1, however the endless possibility of Diablo 2 made it my clear favorite. Also my worst memory was to see all the bots destroying the game when they finally made something fun out of using runes in items
My favorite Diablo moment is the first moment when you meet the butcher. It was terrifying as a young lad.
Sorry, I want to change my best memory. It totally was when I played a necromancer and used Iron maiden on a quill rat in normal mode. Then my cocky friend came on and wanted to kill me and by misstake attacked the quill rat instead and got 300% damage returned and died. Such a good memory

I had a friend who was playing a hardcore character in D2 for a looooooong time. While it was sad for him, I burst out laughing (I’m a terrible friend, I know). But he was playing against some fire-enchanted boss, killed it, it exploded and killed his hardcore character (and as well all know that is the END for that character, you must create a new one on hardcore) and he just froze. For about five seconds he was completely still and utterly silent. Then, with a tremendous roar of “GOD D****T!” he picked up his keyboard and hit his monitor with it as hard as he could, baseball-bat style, knocking his monitor to the floor and snapping his keyboard in half. I still chuckle every time I think about that moment of pure, unadulterated rage.
My favorite Moment is getting excited in 2008 thinking D3 was coming out soon :\

My favorite moment was the first time fighting Diablo, when the ground shakes and a threatening voice echoes “NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME!.” Chills just chills down my spine everytime

Heh… most memorable times were when i told a friend that i don’t think much of the game (i know, right?) after seeing him play and so he gotit for me on my birthday so we will play together. However he always used to kill everything before i even got the chance to react and after i got a bit stronger he kept telling me to do his bidding… that really got on my nerves at the time so i started playing it alone and before i knew it i got sucked into the game. Not too much time pasted before we had our first pvp and after a few more times i finally beat him and the smirk on my face left a mark to this day. Best memory and feeling ever…

Going back to Tristram and facing off with Griswold was a crazy experience in my book. “Yeah, you repaired all my junk before, NOW DIE!”
Finding the unique Thinking Cap in Diablo 1 and successfully improving it’s max durability from 1 to 11 at a shrine. In D1 items got permanently destroyed when they reached zero durability.

The best experience I had on Diablo was on Diablo 2, I enjoyed a lot Diablo 1, and played a lot ( and I mean a looooot ) with Diablo 2, but there were no time like the first time I tried ( and ended the very next day
) the mind blowing insane quantity of content, loot and possibilities that was the best game I’ve ever played.
Forgive me for my superlatives, but never the same I enjoyed myself so much; just planning to optimise, trying all characters, finding runes and completing armor sets, (even with,but I wont tell her, my girlfriend
I hope I find the same novelty and innovation I enjoyed so much in Diablo 2, in this new installment of blizzard’s most epic sage (IMHO). And if there was any chance I could get into the beta that could possibly be kind of a culture altering experience and propulse me into my nostalgy infused video game happiness and euphoria.

My favorite moment was finding a legit Stone of Jordan off Mephisto during an MF run.
My favorite Diablo 2 moment was the countless Mephisto runs, hoping for unique drops each time. It was such a rush to find a unique item you had been searching for for so long. Cow runs were also alot of fun, especially with the Barbarian whirlwinding through a group of cows.

My fave D2 moment was when I completed my first hell run Baal with my hammerdin solo, oh the months I wasted whackin baal in the face for that uber drop, in close second is when I found a CoA in the pit when I was just derpin around killing stuff for fun.

I’d say using the Sorceress’s Frozen Orb for the first time. It was a blast ripping apart enemies with a mass of ice bolts.
I had always played D2 alone so my best moment was probably my first time playing it with a group of friends. The multiplayer aspect of it just made the whole thing so much more enjoyable.
Definitely when I was playing with a few buddies taking on Mephisto. He had some awesome drops. That was just but one of the highlights of my gaming years with D2.
Gotta love the time i was playing my necro and accidently cast bone wall around the portal to the cows -_- lol
Playing co-op Diablo on the playstation in it’s entirety with my dad, and stealing all of the good loot for myself.

Best moment ? My first visit to Tristram in Diablo 2. I didn’t read anything earlier about the lore so when I saw Griswold it was like: “WTF ?”. And then finding a leg which once belonged to this liettle bastard who ate a lot of my Diablo1 money just made my day
My favorite moment was being able to solo nightmare-level Mephisto on my bowazon. My friends I was playing with had gotten to hell level and were getting owned by quill rats, so I tried to do lots of gear runs for them. Alas, they had already lost interest.

When I was playing Diablo 2 with 4 of my other friends and we were all different classes clearing dungeons and getting gear and giving the other people who need it to them while having tons of fun.
My moment was when I was on my geared necromancer PK’ing people outside and then his/her friends came and it was like 1v4 and i still won, because there where not that skill and I beat them many times, then we partied up later and became friends and now we are playing diablo 2 right now till diablo 3 comes out.
My most memorable moment must be when I killed Diablo for the first in Diablo 1. The feeling was epic as I had immediately fallen in love with this game. I cant wait for Diablo 3!
I am really awaiting to play the beta. Me best moment in diablo 2 was when I first killed baal in hardcore mode without dieing. That I could call me best moment. I am really excited that diablo 3 is coming out in april/may But would by extra happy if I could test before.

When i got my hands on Diablo Spawn in 1998 (Spawn was a Diablo 1 demo with Battle.net access).
I began playing got instantly hooked up by awsome music track, (Tristram by Matt Uelmen).
I’ve acepped my first quest from a dying man in front of Tristram’s Cathedral.
Please, listen to me. The Archbishop Lazarus, he led us down here to find the lost prince. The bastard led us into a trap! Now everyone is dead… Killed by a Demon he called the Butcher. Avenge us! Find this Butcher and slay him, so that our souls may finally rest… That was his last words.
As i deeped in Cathedral i began do fight alive Skeletons that tryed to claim my soul.
I will never forget seeing a strange room filled with dead bodies, and as soons as i opened the door, i’ve heard terrifiing “Ah, fresh meat!” I’ve tryed to rush myself away but was quickly pursued. And yet another body was claimed by the demon.
That was my first death in Diablo

Oops, forgot to put my favorite moment! My favorite moment was playing on Diablo 2 multiplayer after beating Diablo for the first time, I loved going to nightmare mode and dying all over again by all the little demons.

All my “Diablo moments” revolve around big surprises in the game. The first time clicking on Wirt’s body and laughing as I realized who he was from the first game and why gold was fountaining off his corpse, the moment I realized what the Horadric Cube could really do, stuff like that.
Probably my biggest “Diablo moment” was watching the cut scene where the hero jams Diablo’s soul shard into his forehead. That blew me away.
My most memorable Diablo moment is probably when a random friend I met online took me “hunting for wabbits” outside the rogue encampment. (killing quill rats with a crossbow)

My moment(s) were probably those times where I had been stuck on a level, whether due to a boss, or just getting killed by mobs, and finally getting through it.
Gotta go with reaching the desert for the first time with my cousin.
Im gonna have to say, back in diablo 1 having my first unique item drop, other than arkanes valor, griswolds edge, ring of truth, or the butchers cleaver. I believe the item i got was called Skullshield. lol
