Bethesda posted a job listing on its recruitment site asking for “experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future generation consoles.”
The suggestion of a new Bethesda game on the next generation of consoles is not especially surprising, but neither is it the truly interesting part of the listing.
Among the job requirements is experience with DirectX 11, which implies that the next console generation may be compatible with the current generation of the API. So, graphics connoisseurs can breathe a sigh of relief… until DirectX 12 is inevitably produced.
