Saints Row 3 Gets More DLC, Fans Upset
Fresh off the release of another disappointing piece of DLC, Volition have announced a new vampire-themed DLC, creatively called the Bloodsucker Pack DLC, that includes the ability to suck blood from people to regain health, vampirey fineries and more abilities to “help” you get through the game.
I say “help” because, by this point, most people still playing the game don’t need anymore help with their already earned 60% income and reputation boosts and vast arsenal of weapons that they’ve probably already finished the game with.
What’s really interesting is how much fan backlash is arising because of this DLC’s announcement. A cursory glance at its official YouTube page shows almost every comment to be lambasting the constant amount of DLC with little to no worthwhile content. The official forums started and never let up.
It seems that people just don’t respond well to such rapid fire releases of small DLC, especially when they feel the base game has less content than its predecessor already. Who’d a’ thunk it?
Saints Row 3 and the DLC that it has offered so far is a disgrace to the Saints Row series. I cannot believe just how much some developers can miss the point when trying to see what made previous games in the series so great.
