Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 is coming this Spring, and there’s a brand new trailer to prove it! Following up 2010’s critically flawed Episode 1, Episode 2 makes a number of improvements and additions – most notably, it sports a new physics engine, better graphics, and co-op play, both locally and online. The level design also appears more inspired this time around, and hey, you can’t go wrong with Metal Sonic, right?
Sonic’s record has been spotty, at best, over the past decade, though last year’s Sonic Generations was a mostly positive step in the right direction. Hopefully, Sega can keep the momentum going with Sonic 4: Episode 2. You can check out the new trailer after the break and feel that sweet, sweet, cautious optimism along with me.

It still looks kinda slow.
To be fair, I just played Sonic 2 the other day and was surprised at how slow it really was. Hopes were up for Sonic 4 Ep 2, but honestly i just wanted to see them expand on Classic Sonic from Generations. They haven’t, so I’ll probs skip this one.
