Guerilla Games Delays Killzone Re-Release Indefinitely

The PS3 re-release of Killzone 1 has apparently been delayed. “With regards to KZ1 for PS3,” a tweet on the franchise’s official twitter read, “not sure what happened but I’ve been informed that it’s been delayed indefinitely.” No reason has been given for the apparent delay.

The game was originally announced with a January 24 release date. Unlike other remakes to hit the PS3 in recent months, the game was set to be a straight digital conversion, rather than a high-definition update… because we all know that would have gone over well with a gaming community that has been playing their games in HD for the last six years or so.

Developer Guerilla Games is said to be currently working on the franchise’s fourth installment. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any word from the company regarding a reason for the remake’s indefinite delay.
