Valve Working on "Top Secret" Project for Team Fortress 2

The industry’s foremost hat simulator will soon be getting some sort of crazy, non-hat related update in the future. Valve has confirmed that they are working on a “top secret” Team Fortress 2 project that will be due out sometime this year. As per the usual, the company is keeping quiet about what the project actually entails, assuring us that it will be “something brand new for 2012.” They were, at least, nice enough to confirm that it will not be a new map or hat.

The last time there were rumors of big things coming to TF2, Valve surprised many by announcing that the game would be going Free to Play. We can only wonder what they have in store for us this time.
