Hold on to your wing-caps ladies and gentlemen, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has hinted that paid DLC may soon be heading to Super Mario 3D Land.
Speaking at an investor Q&A session, Iwata explained what Nintendo could do with the recently announced Nintendo Network. It seems the company may be actually trying to catch up with recent gaming trends by offering, “new stages to Super Mario users who want to play the game more but have completed the game and lost interest in the existing stages.”
Nintendo have offered DLC before in the form of weekly puzzles for Professor Layton, costumes in Animal Crossing and ghost data in Mario Kart, but this would mark the first time for significant post-launch content.
Fingers crossed they add some seriously bling horse armor for Epona in the next 3DS Zelda title.
