A new trailer for Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus has been released by Tecmo Koei, with the game set to come out next month on the PlayStation Vita. The trailer features exactly what you want from Ryu Hayabusa – action, blood, and killing tanks with swords.
The Vita has already launched in Japan, and is currently doing rather poorly. Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is set to come out February 23 in Japan, but it might not be the system seller it was when the original came out on the XBox in 2004.
Sigma Plus isn’t just a rehash of Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, or Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It includes a slew of new features just for the Vita console such as touch-screen combos for massive destruction, aiming with the rear camera for precise arrow barrages, and new enemy scenarios to keep the whole thing fresh.
No release date is set for America as of yet, but if you happen to be Japanese, you only have to wait a month. As the trailer shows, it might be a pretty fun game if you haven’t played the other versions, but it doesn’t look like you need to pick up a Vita just for this one game.
