With Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, Rocksteady has made a pretty good name for themselves, and of course, fans have been wondering what’s next. While I’m sure people would love from them to make Arkham World, a new rumor has appeared that suggests something a little more green.
The Paul Gale Network published an article that claims Rocksteady’s next title will feature none other than the heroes in a half shell themselves, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
There are quite a few details on the game already, but bear in mind that these are all rumors – nothing here has been confirmed as of yet.
Allegedly called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Crisis, the game will feature all four turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, as playable characters, each with their own unique move set and weapons. The game will also feature flashbacks where you play as Splinter/Hamato Yoshi.
Gameplay will be similar to that of Arkham Asylum and City and will use Unreal Engine 3. Villains Bebop and Rocksteady , Dr. Baxter Stockman, Shredder, and Krang will be featured as bosses. Classic vehicles like the Turtle Van and Blimp will be present in the game. Finally, the game will be comparable to the original comics which were dark and gritty.
The game is reportedly being developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. The Wii U version will feature touch screen capabilities.
I don’t know about you guys but if this turns out to be true, I’m already sold. If Rocksteady can do for Ninja Turtle games what they did for Batman, we’re in for a treat.
