Freddie Prinze Jr. Joins the Mass Effect 3 Cast

01

ME3header

Your eyes do not deceive you. Freddie Prinze Jr. treks into the Mass Effect line-up as the voice of James Vega, a beefy Systems Alliance solider and Shepard’s newest squad member.

Not much is known about Vega, besides his strong soldier status and affinity for baby-tight t-shirts. BioWare gave Prinze the chance to flesh out his character a little in the short featurette below. Prinze, who calls Vega a “no-nonsense marine,” also gives his take on the Mass Effect series as a whole.

Prinze is known for having recently played the role of Agent Cole Ortiz in 24, but we’ll always remember him as the big-eyed jock in She’s All That. Check out the full video feature below to see more footage of Mass Effect and Freddie P. enjoying some solitary boxing.

Watching him mimick punches was entertaining. Vega seems like he needs a much deeper voice to go with the muscles. Maybe FPJr will make a comeback after this and we can relive the boyband era of the 90s.
