Licensed music was a pretty big part of Remedy’s Alan Wake. A song was played at the end of every episode, and it really helped set the game’s mood in between segments. The game had heavy hitters such as David Bowie’s Space Oddity and Roy Orbison’s In Dreams.
American Nightmare won’t be slouching in the soundtrack department either. Remedy and EMI Scandinavia have announced that English rock band Kasabian’s breakout hit, Club Foot, will be featured on the game’s soundtrack. Ed Harcourt’s Me Watching the Sun Come Up will also make an appearance.
Additionally, fan favorites Old Gods of Asgard will make a reappearance. The fictional band, portrayed by Finnish group Poets of the Fall, is now managed by Alan Wake’s agent Barry Wheeler, and will have a new single featured in the game.
American Nightmare is expected to launch sometime between February 15th and March as part of the XBLA House Party.
