Dead Island getting new Ryder White DLC in February

Deep Silver revealed that the newest DLC for their zombie-kicking simulator will be released on February 1 for all platforms. The subtly named Ryder White DLC will allow players to play as the main villain of the original game in a brand new campaign with “several hours of story content with twists and turns that will shed new light on the game’s happenings.“  

It also includes two new blueprints and weapons on top of the original arsenal.

Nothing is mentioned of other new playable characters. Considering Dead Island is largely a co-op game, it would be strange to see four Ryder Whites or Ryder White with three of the original campaign’s protagonists running around together before the events of the main game.

The DLC is will cost 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 for PlayStation 3 and Steam users.
