March is going to be Silent Hill crazy. Konami has announced that it plans to release all of its upcoming Silent Hill Games this March. Specifically, the Silent Hill HD Collection will be released on March 6, Downpour on March 13, and Book of Memories on March 27.
The Silent Hill HD Collection, which will include high-definition remakes of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, is due out for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. In addition to their shiny new coats of paint, both games will feature updated voice-overs and an enhanced soundtrack.
Silent Hill: Downpour, the eighth game in the series, is set for a multi-platform release on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The game will go back to the “roots” of Silent Hill, with the main protagonist returning to the prolific town. Players will find themselves battling both new and familiar monsters, solving puzzles, and dealing with the never-ending creepiness and tension that are the foundations of Silent Hill.
The Vita exclusive Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be the first multi-player entry into the series. Players can look forward to exploring “Otherworlds” and battling monsters together, all from a top down perspective.
