If there’s anything PC gaming has taught us, it is that there’s nothing a developer can overlook that a disgruntled fan with serious technical badassery can’t fix. A UI mod for Skyrim’s scroll-tastic inventory menu has been released, consolidating the inventory view to actually fit into your screen. This is why we play Bethesda games on the PC, folks. Console users will just have to man up and do without.
SkyUI organizes your inventory by categories across the top, and presents the items with their corresponding weight and cost in a smaller font, without having to scroll through a vertical list. You can also narrow down your search by filtering.
You will need Nexus Mod Manager, but it seems like a small price to pay for having a sane representation of your inventory. Now if only someone would write a mod that would allow me to manage my keybindings in a logical way, so that I can switch between spells and daggers and bows without having to pause combat and click through five things…
