More waves of Early Access emails are dutifully rolling out – according to the Star Wars: The Old Republic twitter (@SWTOR) – though as the lucky hordes gleefully flood the servers, some have been expressing concern that their pre-ordered copies won’t arrive by December 20th. Imagine: if it’s late, there might be literally hours during which you won’t be able to kill Jedi. Days, even!
To address these concerns, BioWare is offering a two-day grace period. If you have pre-ordered a physical copy of SWTOR and are in the Early Access, you will have until 12:00 AM EST on December 22nd to enter your product code and provide a form of valid payment in order to continue playing. Obviously, if you bought the Origin digital copy, you won’t have to worry about the vagaries of holiday delivery schedules, for your product code will be emailed to you between December 16th and December 20th.
BioWare strongly recommends that you enter your code as soon as you get it, just in case. Also, your 30 days of free game time starts from the moment you register your product code and add payment, and is not otherwise affected by this grace period.
For those whose copies may still arrive after December 22nd, BioWare regrets that it will not be able to accommodate you, and suggests that you work it out with your retailer if you absolutely cannot wait. Or, you know, you could just use Origin next time, and not deal with these problems at all.
