Among the many video game trailers released during the VGA, one in particular has my eyebrows raised in a “Ooh looks awesome” and “No way, did they just do that?” kind of way. Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us looks to be hair-raising yet emotionally involved.
In the trailer we see a girl that looks like Juno MacGruff and a scruffy-looking guy sticking together to ward off some sort of monster. These zombie-like things have some seriously mutated faces, but one thing is for sure, they are not at all happy with the presence of Juno and her friend.
Check out the trailer after the break.
Once the climax of the video ends, the girl says, “He tells me how these streets were crowded with people just going about their lives… must have been nice.” It raises a lot of questions about how the world came to be in this “I Am Legend” state.
Naughty Dog is the developer behind the huge successes that are the Uncharted games, and it looks like their excellent animation will make an appearance in this game. I can only hope that their character development and attention to detail return as well.
With no release date and only one video, I have so many questions. For now, check out their official website, and get your shotguns ready and prep your bunker. It is going to be a long wait.

You mean that isn’t Juno?
I have my hopes up for this game, but being a console exclusive I won’t put my bar up too high.
It was done by a fungus, actually on Uncharted 3 on the bar (starting the game), you can see a newspaper with the information about the fungus.
