New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Environments Trailer Displays Beauty

With the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 less than 10 days away in Japan, media has been flowing at a pretty constant pace.

A new trailer released shows off the environments in the game. While the trailer is in French, it speaks the universal language of beauty. To check it out, follow the jump.

Despite critical mixed feelings about the first game, one thing universally praised was the creative and beautiful environments. If this trailer is any good indication, FFXIII-2 will not fail its predecessor.

Also seen in the trailer is the boast, “de multiples chemins a explorer,” or in English, “look it isn’t as linear!” Judging by the map, it is still not as free-roaming as fans might expect, but there are definitely more paths than the one that FXIII offered. Unfortunately, I think that number has merely increased to two.

That is only one screen, however, and the full game will surely have more variety. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will release on January 31st in the states, but until then we still have some beautiful scenery to marvel at.
