Alan Wake’s developer, Remedy Entertainment, has been pretty adamant about the next Alan Wake adventure – rumored to be named Night Springs – not being Alan Wake 2. Geoff Keighley, boss of the Spike Video Game Awards and host of GameTrailers TV, seems to think otherwise. He believes the episodic downloadable game is “effectively” the sequel to last year’s Alan Wake.
In a conversation between Keighley and Major Nelson about downloadable games, Keighley described Remedy’s effort as “ambitious,” adding that despite being a downloadable game, it’s not going to be small. According to Remedy, the game will be structured like a retail release, even though it’s an XBLA title.
The game is set to be officially introduced at the Spike Video Game Awards this weekend.
