Zynga Prepares for New “Ville” Social Game

Zynga, the developer behind social games like Farmville, Cityville, Castleville, and Fishville, has registered websites for a potential new family member: Forestville. With Zynga’s track record for producing hugely popular games, Forestville is sure to be a hit.

Setting aside quality of their games, Farmville and Cityville are massively popular on Facebook. With microtransactions and gift cards that can be purchased in the real world for things like cows, or… other things, there seems to be no limit to Zynga’s methods of cashing in.

For now, Zynga has remained quiet on the subject, but their registering for sites like forestvillegame.com, forestvillewithfriends.com, and forestvillezynga.com is rather telling. My uneducated guess is that this game will take place somewhere with trees. We’ll just have to wait for more information on this mystery.
