Were you holding out hopes for the Horde Mode styled co-op mode in Resident Evil: Revelations? If so, you may have to wait a while before you try it out – not because the game has been delayed, but because Raid Mode will require you to complete the single player campaign before you’ll get a chance to play it.
While not a terrible move on Capcom’s part, given their record of selling multiplayer modes as DLC, it certainly is an odd gesture considering the game has been marketed as a co-op experience.
Raid Mode was also one of the explanations for the game’s $50 price tag, which makes me question the move to lock it even further.
Resident Evil: Revelations hits the 3DS on January 26th and 27th for the Japan and EU, respectively. It won’t hit American shores until February 7th.
