While you might spend next week answering the call to the battlefield or facing off with dragons in the northlands, Nintendo does not want you to forget about your impending voyage to Hyrule later this month. To this effect, they’ve released a spiffy new trailer chock-full of little Zelda-related tidbits that will whet the appetite of any fan.
We see a couple of gameplay elements on display, such as the “coloring” of the world that has been featured in a number of previous trailers. Link also sports several different shield designs, showing off the various array of bulwarks that will be available through the game’s crafting and upgrade system.
But perhaps chief among the trailer’s mysteries is a strange, hitherto unnamed woman who bookends the beginning and end of the trailer. Given the familiar looking eye-and-teardrop symbol she bears – not to mention how she protects Zelda from an assault by Demon Lord Ghiarhim in the trailer’s final scene – it’s possible that she might be a member of the fabled Sheikah tribe, and thus an ancestor to Zelda’s handmaiden in Ocarina of Time, Impa.
All answers will be revealed when Skyward Sword finally launches November 20th. Hit the break for the full trailer.
