Special PS Vita Bundle Launches a Week Early in North America

Can’t wait to get your hands on the new PlayStation Vita? Feel like flailing the flesh from your very arms in a misguided attempt to distract yourself from the pain of desire? Well, boys and girls, your good ol’ Uncle Sony has heard your cries, and the Japanese gaming giant is graciously giving its North American consumers a chance to get their hands on the new handheld a week before anyone else with the PS Vita First Edition Bundle.

Along with the system (3G model in the US, Wi-Fi only in Canada) you’ll also be getting a limited edition case for your new Vita, one of those costly Sony branded memory cards, and a copy of the game Little Deviants.

The package will set you back $349 in the US and $299 in Canada, about $50 more than buying the handheld alone. A limited number of the bundles will be available in select retailers starting Wednesday, February 15th, but you can also head over to Amazon and plop down a pre-order on one right now.

For those of you who aren’t interested in the bundle, the Vita’s scheduled North American release will follow a week later, on February 22nd.
