Inversion has been in development for a hell of a long time, but if this most recent trailer from Namco is correct, we won’t have to wait much longer. The game has you playing a young father and husband who has lost his family. He goes on a perilous adventure in an apocalyptic wasteland, eventually combatting villains through gravity defying moves with his best friend and partner. Deep bass rhythmically pounds along in the background for the duration.
So, Inversion is basically Inception with a tiny bit of Mad Max thrown in for good measure. I can’t imagine anyone complaining, however, Inception was basically begging for a good video game adaptation. Christopher Nolan has claimed there’s an Inception game on the way, but we haven’t heard much about it since the movie was released on DVD. Inversion will surely be filling that gap next February 7th, when it’s released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Hit the break for the trailer, and see if you think the game’s take on the cover-based, third-person shooter will earn your money.

Whenever I see Inversion I think of Subversion and then I
