Uncharted 3 Video Explains What it Means to be a Hero

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is going to be released in just over a week, and it’s fair to say that we have been victims to a full-on Uncharted media storm. We’ve had the epic launch trailer, the many walkthrough demos, a shameless Subway advert, and a strange video featuring Harrison Ford playing the game. Today, Sony released a far more sober, if ever so slightly sentimental, video about what it means to be a hero.

Uncharted writer/director Amy Hennig and Nolan North are joined by several famous Hollywood actors as prolific as Sam Rockwell and erm… Michelle Rodriguez for the discussion. It has all the schmaltz of Inside the Actor’s Studio.

Be inspired and check out the trailer after the bump.

I would be more cynical towards this trailer, but I cannot deny the fact that Sam Rockwell is awesome in whatever he appears in, even movies as dire as Charlie’s Angels.

But what does make a good hero? Is it noble things like self-sacrifice? Could it be about overcoming personal flaws and fears to win the day? Or, does it all come back to pithy one liners and keeping a level head throughout a spree of wholesale murder?

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is out November 1st on the PlayStation3
