DICE has released another Battlefield 3 trailer, this time focusing on the new multiplayer maps… and a special old one. The short video highlights multiplayer combat on a handful of maps that we haven’t had a chance to see in action yet. The clip is also yet another chance for DICE to show off their new gorgeous Frostbite 2 engine – oh, and explosions.
Karkand, the immensely popular Battlefield 2 map, is also highlighted briefly at the end of the video. While no combat is shown actually taking place on the map, we do get a couple foreboding shots of crumbling buildings.
While Karkand is not included as part of the base game, it is part of the “Back to Karkand” DLC pack that comes with every Battlefield 3 preorder.
Check out the trailer after the break.
Battlefield 3 will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 25th.
