Last month, we caught wind of an HD collection for the Metal Gear Solid franchise. If the many different versions weren’t already confusing enough, Konami will also be releasing a limited edition version of the game.
This edition will come with a 248-page art book and special packaging illustrated by lead artist Yoji Shinkawa. As of now, there is no set price for this special edition, but expect it to be in the $80-$100 range.
This collection will also feature a new type of save file which Kojima has titled “transfarring.” This will allow a player to play through a game on both the PS3 and PSP by wirelessly transferring a safe file between the two. The HD version of Peace Walker will be the first game make use of this new technology. Kojima hopes to implement this feature into all future games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be released on November 8th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Yay? I was half expecting the original MGS to be included with this edition, maybe not though…
I would have loved if they have added the Gamecube remake of MGS. Still, I will be buying this edition of the game.
